OSU - Oklahoma City, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, is looking for an  Academic Advisors


Job Summary:

The Academic Advisor/Retention Counselor will provide academic advisement and career guidance to students within an assigned academic division. This position requires working closely with faculty and enrollment services staff to provide support to students as they navigate through the educational process


Salary: $2,842.00  







Minimum of three years related work experience



Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. This includes excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. 

Must have ability to professionally interpret student concerns and interests to campus faculty, staff, and administration. 

Demonstrated coordination, planning, and organizational skills: attention to detail and creativity. 

Ability to work independently and also collaborate within a team environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 

Ability to thrive in a high-paced and dynamic environment. 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).  


Working Conditions: 

Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends. 

Duties performed indoors in an office environment. 

Physical Requirements: 

Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking and listening.
