Job Details

Verifies figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.  Reconciles daily deposits, daily cash reports and receipts. Posts data to accounting software.  Calculates, prepares, and issues bills, invoices, and account statements.  Verifies vendor invoices with purchase orders and verifies pricing and extensions against invoices. Handles inquiries and questions from vendors or departments. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or combination education and 1 year relevant experience.


Excellent organizational, oral and written communication and computer (preferably MS Word and Excel or comparable software) skills needed. Must have knowledge of accounting software and extremely high attention to detail. Must have the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines, work independently and as a team player, and demonstrate professionalism with diverse personalities and cultures.  

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of Accounting experience or experience in a non-profit, health, research, or educational environment strongly preferred.  

Work Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit, use manual dexterity, talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually quiet.
