Application System Administrator I

This position supports the activities related to planning, design, installation, configuration, implementation, administration, support, security, documentation, and maintenance of BancFirst applications.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Provide first level support to BancFirst employees to minimize service disruption and facilitate operations.


Troubleshoot issues via phone, remote desktop assistance and on-site support.


Propose modifications and enhancements to existing applications to improve their functionality or address any issues that arise.


Assist in the development and maintenance of operational documentation for the department.


Assists with the addition and maintenance of users of Application systems through the establishment and monitoring of user rights.


Participate in on-call duty for after hours support on a regular rotational basis.


Occasional travel, evenings, and weekends required.


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

2 to 4 years experience supporting business applications.


2 to 4 years experience in Information Technology.


Experience with computer hardware and peripherals.


Experience with Windows operating systems.


Experience with implementing new software and administrating systems.


Experience with automation, scripting, and programming.


Familiarity with a virtual network environment.


Experience with Microsoft SQL and an understanding of SQL code.


Experience with network and PC security in a Microsoft environment.


Basic network troubleshooting skills.


Ability to positively and quickly adapt to new and changing technology.


Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.


Must be able to work under pressure, communicate efficiently, and provide excellent customer service.


Strong problem solving and organizational skills.


Attendance is an essential function of the job.
