BASIC PURPOSE: This position will be responsible for technical and analytical activities in support of the Company benefit programs in assigned areas of functional responsibility and will perform other related duties in the benefits and compensation department as assigned.



  • Researches and analyzes benefit, compensation, and benchmarking information for ongoing competitive assessments as well as the yearly Senior Benefit Committee meeting. 
  • Monitors benefit trends in the business environment and must stay abreast of applicable benefits legislation
  • Acts as a back-up for the following functions: Insurance eligibility reports and the distribution and processing of all employee benefits packets/elections.
  • Research and provide answers related to various benefits issues, including Explanation of Benefits, 401(k), vacation, insurance eligibility and annual testing of benefit programs.
  • Provides analysis of plan utilization, program costs and evaluates alternatives for providing high quality health and welfare services that are affordable to employees and the business..
  • Participate in Semi-annual 401k Administration Meeting as well as providing ad-hoc reporting of 401K plan activities and plan statistics.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.



  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • HR or related Degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years benefit or other HR experience preferred



  • Skills:
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
    • Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Willingness / ability to accept continual training and constructive criticism
    • Maintain confidential information
    • Ability to read and interpret Plan documents and Federal Regulations Microsoft Windows / Office experience required with significant Excel/Access and Powerpoint exposure and demonstrated proficiency.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
