Position Description:

The BSA QC Manager will be responsible for independently developing, implementing and maintaining an effective quality control testing process covering all facets of the bank’s BSA/AML and OFAC compliance program. This position will use analytical methods to identify known or emerging BSA risks and provide recommendations for process improvements. This position will be responsible for updating the bank’s BSA/AML risk assessments and appropriate management reports based on the results of the quality control testing. The BSA QC Manager will assist the BSA Officer in preparing for and administering regulatory examinations and internal audits.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
QC & Testing Program
- Exercise discretion and judgment in order to perform ongoing BSA/AML assessments, including risk assessments, identifying and defining BSA/AML issues, conducting interviews, documenting processes, transaction testing, preparing work papers and documenting conclusions.
- Evaluate the adequacy of BSA/AML related controls for the bank’s processes and document the results of the review. Determine appropriate recommendations for improvements and assist in implementing such improvements within various business units and processes.

Analysis & Reporting
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize analytical methods to see potential anomalies in data or potential areas for process improvement.
- Determine appropriate data to collect, compile and analyze in order to support the bank’s BSA/AML risk assessments.
- Build, maintain and update various management reports.

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree required
- CFE or ACAMs certification preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years audit experience required
- Strong understanding of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti Money Laundering (AML) laws, regulations, and guidance as well as the desire and ability to keep up with regulatory changes in a complex environment
- Excellent analytical skills required - ability to problem solve, review and analyze data, locate its source, effectively assess risk, identify root cause of issues and identify operational efficiencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proactive and self-starting
- Strong project management skills
- Must possess a high level of initiative, inquisition and creativity
- Strong work ethic, independent initiative, and interpersonal skills
- Detail and quality oriented
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and other business units
- Ability to complete assignments with little supervision and while adhering to time budget and deadlines.
- Skill in negotiating issues and resolving problems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
