Job Description

The Boeing Company is looking for a Customer Training Specialist to join the Richardson, Texas team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for determining AAS mission task definition, media allocation, training syllabi, training content, and training courseware requirements for AAS operators, tactical officers, and mission crew instructors.

This Customer Training Specialist will direct process changes to improve technical accuracy and quality of training courseware. This position will conduct peer reviews of training courseware developed by other Customer Training Specialists and coordinate changes to meet customer quality control expectations. In addition, the Customer Training Specialist may conduct instruction and training at the Boeing Breckinridge facility and will represent Boeing while interacting independently with the customer and Fleet.

This position will manage teams that develop courseware products to include interactive courseware, instructor-led training and scenarios suitable for eventual use in weapons tactics trainer and desk top trainers. This position will assess and validate high-fidelity simulations developed by adjacent teams in the Training System IPT. The Customer Training Specialist also conducts analysis to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design. This position establishes processes for identifying training content and evaluating training effectiveness and uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. This position will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of training products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 -Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance

- At least 8 years of Navy Flight experience

- Minimum of two years of LSRS experience

- Naval Flight Officer (NFO) or Sensor Operator (SO) experience

- Demonstrated ability to work iteratively with customers to gather requirements/needs

- Ability to research, analyze and develop requirements into solutions

- Strong writing skills

- Ability to support a number of development activities concurrently

- Software application experience with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher

- P-8A Experience

- Instructor/Training and training development; writing and editing of training materials

- Understanding of instructional processes and techniques

- A high degree of creativity and problem solving abilities to propose solutions, alternatives, and/or incremental approaches that lead to long-term solutions

- Ability to work iteratively with all stakeholders to understand needs, technical constraints, schedule constraints and mission demands and to work to deadlines or short suspense

- Ability to communicate complex instructional material to a wide range of audiences via visual and interactive aids

- Desired software application experience with Adobe Captivate.

 

Work Authorization:

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

A current Top Secret clearance is a requirement for this position. Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. This work at The Boeing Company is of a classified nature and positions require a security clearance granted at the discretion of government authorities. Filling this requisition is contingently based on the applicant's ability to obtain the required access as established by Program Management. If required access is not granted in a time frame established by Program Management this offer will be withdrawn. If your final Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirement is not maintained, the result may be reassignment, reclassification, or termination of employment.

 

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
