Job Details

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an individual to perform analysis and systems engineering in support of current and future Airborne Strategic Command, Control, and Communications Program, E-6B. They will provide system engineering expertise on LF to EHF communications systems to support the E-6B Program Office, Program Manager (Air) (PMA) 271. The E-6B Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO)/Airborne Command Post (ABNCP) Survivable Mobile Command Center (SMCC) is an airborne communications platform capable of originating and/or relaying Emergency Action Messages (EAMs) as part of the Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCS), maintaining continuous airborne and ground alert coverage 365 days a year at various alert sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering expertise in resolution of communications issues in the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), a mock-up of the E-6B aircraft.

 

Requirements

What You Need To Bring To The Table (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math.
  • At least 4 years of relevant communications systems engineering experience.
  • Must be U.S. citizen eligible for U.S. government security clearance.


Any of the following is strongly desired and preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with focus on communications.
  • Experience designing, reviewing designs and/or testing one or more of the following E-6B Communications Systems:
    • Extremely High Frequency (EHF) satellite communications and the Family of Advanced Beyond Line of Sight-Terminals (FAB-T)/Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite communications to include current and future user terminals
    • MILSTAR command terminal with the E-6B message processing computer system,
    • Multi-Role - Tactical Common Data Link (MR-TCDL) communications, and
    • Very Low Frequency (VLF) communications
    • Competence in all phases of engineering and analysis techniques, concepts, and methods as well as relevant knowledge of one or more mission specific subject-matter areas.
    • E-6B crewmember experience.
