Job Description

Boeing is seeking Entry Level Manufacturing Engineers to join our team supporting the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft platform.  These engineers will provide electrical manufacturing engineering support for modification and sustainment of the US and International AWACS aircraft fleet including France, Japan, UK, and Saudi Arabia.

 

The Manufacturing Engineers will:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participate as members of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions for electrical design and build.
  • Develop Bill of Materials and planning per engineering requirements to drive the production of electrical hardware.
  • Work with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Assist in implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Resolve technical problems affecting performance, cost or schedule.
  • Provide technical manufacturing support to suppliers.
  • Assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Interface with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Support the development of program schedules and manufacturing plans for aircraft modification.
  • Coordinate with affected organizations to implement the manufacturing plan.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
  • Preferred candidate will have experience developing Manufacturing Bill of Materials and planning

Typical Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
