Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
  • Maintain a service van and its inventory.
  • Process paperwork upon completion of each job.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

- Minimum Starting Pay $19.35/hour + (Pay varies upon experience)

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical school graduate desired.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and customer care skills are necessary.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Per 8-hour shift, must be able to sit 2 hours, stand 5 hours, walk 1 hour, see, talk, and hear. Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lb, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level. Must be able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lb, reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vans. Must have good binocular vision. Ability to distinguish colors preferred. Possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, solvents, fuels, battery acid, and noise pollution. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

This position requires a high school diploma, good mechanical aptitude and good knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics and internal combustion engines. Must be able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics. Must be familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment. A valid driver’s license is required. This position also requires the ability to read and understand service manuals and microfiche, plan and follow-through. Good organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Industry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience preferred.
