The Human Resources Assistant is primarily responsible for managing the applicant flow process to include reviewing applications based on defined criteria, scheduling interviews with candidates, and conducting phone screens and in person interviews as needed. Once candidates are identified, Assistant will also complete pre-employment background screenings, employment reference checks and may prepare offer letters or other on-boarding documents as well. Additional duties include placing job advertisements both online and in print, processing invoices, assisting with various reporting, representing the company at job fairs and preparing for hiring events, as well as other projects as assigned.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Relations, or related major, as well as 2-3 years of Human Resources experience with specific knowledge of the recruitment/employment aspect in a fast paced, results oriented environment. Candidates must possess a working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook and be able to learn/operate other systems with ease. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task effectively and strong organizational skills are essential to success in this role. Some experience conducting interviews in person or via phone is preferred.
