Job Description

Boeing South Carolina is seeking an IT Implementation Planner for join our Global IT Infrastructure Services group. This level 2 position is located in North Charleston, South Carolina.   


You will have the opportunity to partner with Service Planners, Consultants, Delivery Systems Integrators, and Service Owners to ensure hosting services are effectively planned for and delivered on time, as designed. You will be working to identify and document infrastructure hosting requirements and drive progress to plan. You will be acting as the process interface for coordinating the implementation of large scale infrastructure manufacturing and engineering computing infrastructure designs.  

Additional Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Processes computing requirements. Participates in a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application support activities.
  • Supports the installation, configuration and maintenance of multiplatform systems hardware, software and components. Documents, implements and maintains computer applications.
  • Assists with release planning for software and hardware across the system. Assists with evaluation of architecture to ensure compatibility with computing system.

Typical Education / Experience

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.


Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Two or more years of experience with release planning for computing software and hardware.
  • Two or more years of experience in facilitating meetings, forecasting workload and monitoring progress to plan
  • One or more years of experience tracking and managing the completion of specific project milestones in computing environments.
  • One or more years of experience providing regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Commercial Airplanes Manufacturing or other major infrastructure block point processes
  • Experience deploying infrastructure or applications in factory environments and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
