Position Description:





Primary duties shall include but are not limited to:

Maintain automobile, real estate and insurance schedules
Under supervision, gather information and prepare corporate insurance applications for submission to insurers
File and monitor claims and report incidents to insurers
Manage, coordinate and resolve claims
Review, update and ensure accurate issuance of Certificates of Insurance
Prepare annual insurance program summary
Investigate fact patterns and obtain documentation to substantiate loss
Serve as client claim advocate and liaison between business unit (s) and insurers
Maintain check log and follow up with business units contacts on outstanding/unpaid insurance invoices
Prepare claim settlement recovery recommendations for IRM Director’s review and approval
Track receipt of policies received and follow up with broker to obtain outstanding policies
Review all legal notices /demands and file notification with appropriate insurers
Communicate with brokers, adjusters, and other intermediaries on claim resolution and insurance matters

Secondary duties shall consist of:
Answering phones, ordering office supplies, preparing mailing labels/files, and other general clerical duties.
Assisting the Director of IRM on special projects , presentations and FAQ s
Maintaining and updating the IRM corporate MidNet page as necessary















Position Requirements:





Candidates must possess 1-3 years of applicable insurance or risk management experience, have strong oral and written skills and be able to write professional correspondence of a caliber consistent with customary business practices. He/she should be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The candidate must have a working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint) applications with an acute attention to detail. Knowledge of basic insurance concepts is required. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and have the ability to manage a wide variety of tasks from beginning to end. He/she should be collaborative, congenial, and meticulous with well-developed organizational skills.
