Job Description

The Boeing Company is seeking a Marketing & Sales Representative team to join the team!

The C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) and KC-46 Sales and Marketing Representative position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and reports to the Air Force Services Air Mobility Command / Large Aircraft Senior Manager. Their primary responsibility will be generating new business for, and retaining current business in, the C-17 (via the GISP support/sustainment contract) and KC-46 weapon systems.

Business development activities will include:

  • Capturing additional sustainment market share for current fielded C-17 fleet (e.g., Military Aircraft Health Management, Centralized Maintenance Computer, future mission capability modifications, etc)
  • Capturing support/sustainment business in association with the KC-46
  • Capturing support/sustainment business on other new/remanufacture aircraft campaigns as assigned
  • Coordination and co-development of marketing activities/material will be required with BMA, BDS and other customer-facing organizations (e.g., BGS program offices, BDS International Business Development) and stakeholders

This sales and marketing/business development position will be responsible for coordinating/developing domestic and international strategies and interface with the US Air Force/FMS customer(s).

Additional responsibilities include:

  • C-17/KC-46 requirements advocate as well as interfacing directly with customer decision makers and influencers
  • C-17/KC-46 manager will leverage a detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to find areas of alignment, integration and value proposition
  • Crafts campaign specific strategies, procures resources and secures management commitment to ensure successful execution.
  • Creates metrics to monitor campaign project status and monitor both internal and customer budget requirements
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, penetrate potential new markets and foster business growth
  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors' services to develop an understanding of specific competitor activities and their impact on company strategy to improve our competitive position
  • Verifies, evaluates and applies detailed customer knowledge to advance campaign activity, support the long range business plan (LRBP) and contribute to strategy development (e.g., regional, country, and platform).
  • Initiates and advances customer relationships and strives to be accepted as a trusted agent business partner by the customer
  • Maintains and advances customer relationships to proactively address future needs and mission requirements
  • Identifies future business opportunities and promotes the value of Boeing portfolio and partnership
  • Takes consultative approach to help customers achieve objectives
  • The nature of the BGS Air Force Services portfolio requires positional flexibility and ability to perform similar functions in other aircraft and weapon system enablers beyond KC-46/C-17 when priorities demand

The position requires the ability to represent the Boeing Company/GS&M/GISP business unit to senior U.S. and International government officials, and representatives of other companies.

Qualifications

Typical Education/ Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

 

Additional acceptable education/experience: Bachelors in Engineering, Management, Organizational Management, or Business or equivalent professional experience

 

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

 

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Experience directly interfacing with Air Force customers
  • Experience supporting weapon systems
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience, with proven ability to problem solve, leverage relationships, and improve processes
  • Technical skills and experience in weapon system sustainment, fleet management, supply chain management, Performance Based Logistics, and maintenance management/information systems are required
  • Domestic and occasional international travel is likely (20-40%)

Required: Able to execute all aspects of a major sales campaign, including:

  • Developing campaigns/capture plans within the guidelines of the Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP), with a solid customer-focused value proposition.
  • Developing and implementing winning strategies and tactics.
  • Forging partnerships/alliances with other companies within the industry.
  • Leading multi-disciplined teams.
  • Analyzing competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Effectively communicating within and outside the company at all levels.
  • Developing product/service offerings that meet the needs of the customer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing competitive domestic or international sales campaigns
  • Experience with Government / Defense Acquisition processes
  • Record of outstanding performance and typically have Broad knowledge of the existing C-17 GISP and KC-46 customer base is highly desired.
  • Masters Degree in Business or Management

The ideal candidate will have proven customer engagement, leadership, human resources, program management basics, interpersonal, communication (verbal, written, and presentation), and team-building skills.
