SUMMARY

Provides mortgage lending products and services to new and existing clients by matching individual mortgage lending needs to the appropriate mortgage loan product.    Provides responsive client service and solutions, identifies cross selling opportunities for other bank products and services. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the bank and oneself in a positive, courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, while providing quality service that consistently meets or exceeds the clients’ expectations. Must stay in contact on a weekly basis with borrower and all sources associated with the loan. Identifying mortgage-lending needs of the clients while recognizing opportunities to refer additional bank services.
  • Completes loan applications, analyzes and pre-qualifies applicant information to determine viability of clients desired mortgage program, explains and communicates terms, provides guidance and information relevant to the risks and benefits of each program, sets realistic expectations for borrowers; and ensures all requirements are met and all documents are signed by the borrower.
  • Provides complete loan application, loan package, and accurate information to the processing team to insure loans are efficient and closes and funds on time.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with First Fidelity Bank markets it’s realtors and builders to promote mortgage lending opportunities by providing professional and responsive service and solutions.
  • Must be able to maintain a pipeline while continuing to bring in new business.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures as well as compliance regulations, and completes all required reports or job specific training.
  • Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Three to five years of mortgage lending experience in sales and customer maintenance.
  • Previous work experience in a bank setting or a mortgage banking operation preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of guidelines and regulations for various loan types, (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Non-Conforming).
  • Good understanding of mortgage policies, procedures and practices that impact the loan operations functions.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate required
  • College degree preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS):

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling the individual to successfully work with a diverse group of people. 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage lending policies and procedures, as well as thorough understanding of loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and investor secondary market requirements.
  • Proven business development and sales background with skills, ability, and knowledge to proactively develop new business and cross sell opportunities and meet sales and service goals.
  • Hands on experience with mortgage lending software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work within a routine normal office environment.
