Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees, supervises and directs the kitchen food operations for the new fresh food kitchen concept in our new OnCue location. Successfully manages and directs personnel for the OnCue kitchen while maintaining food quality and safety standards. Models professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, hospitable and team-oriented atmosphere that encourages excellence.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Ensure food is consistently prepared and served according to OnCue’s standards, this includes recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Build the quality and morale of personnel by training, mentoring and leading according to OnCue expectations
  • Schedule personnel according to business needs
  • Promote improvement in quality and productivity
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the company
  • Utilize resources effectively to attain expected goals of position
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Control food inventory and costs through purchases, pricing and controlling waste
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety codes.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with other OnCue team members and members of management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience in food service management is preferred
  • Obtain Food Protection Manager certification
  • Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety practices

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuous standing and repetitive arm/hand movement for entirety of shift
  • Frequent walking required
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or work overhead when needed
  • Lifting requirements include lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate through verbal and written practices
