OSU – Oklahoma City, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, is looking for a Part - Time Administrative Assistant
Supports the President/Secretary of Education and Workforce Development in the organizing and managing of the Executive office. Provides diverse and highly responsible administrative and secretarial duties.
Rate of Pay: 13.10 per hour
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree is preferred education
Three or more years’ experience working in general office operations or office management.
Knowledge of the operations of the Governor’s Office, higher education and the Office of Oklahoma Workforce Development procedures and policies, such as the U.S. Department of Labor, A & M Board of Regents, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) and legislative bodies.
2-3 years’ experience functioning as an administrative assistant or executive secretary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability and skill to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the highest standards of quality and accuracy, including the ability to pay attention to details, easily follow directions and learn quickly.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively resolve complaints, elicit necessary information and make important screening decisions. Ability to handle matters professionally and confidentially.
Demonstrated technical proficiency in the use of scanners, computers and software (preferably Microsoft Word and Excel). Must have experience and ability to use E-mail and E-mail tools (such as electronic calendars, scheduling, etc).
Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and balance work assignments. Ability to make independent judgments.
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
