Controller - Manufacturing

Controller with manufacturing experience - job costing, bill of materials costing, matching of income and expense monthly, the ability to render financials timely, as well as to oversee clerical functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and cash management.

Property Processing (Insurance)

Assist agents and policy holders with policy and billing questions or changes for assigned personal and farm lines of business.  Assist in the agents and clients in product and billing questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to agents and customer phone calls, emails, faxes, and letters in a timely manner regarding policy and billing information for personal lines and farm policies within the templates provided for this job level.
  • Properly identifies problems and utilizes available resources to find solutions for basic or intermediate problems and escalating those that are more complex.
  • Responsible for email alerts received from IS
  • May performs testing on changes to Agent Access
  • Reports processing and/or system errors to management
  • Distributes emails and faxes to appropriate personnel
  • Process EFT Agreements and changes to EFT accounts
  • Process return mail and determine/update correct address
  • Accepts insurance premium payments for walk in customers
  • Process loss runs for customers or agents
  • Provide certified copy of policies to claims when requested
  • Advise management of any issues or concerns that come to their attention
  • Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Basic knowledge of personal lines and farm insurance is preferred.
