Job Description

Overview:

  • Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking an experienced Level 4 Project Engineer to support the ASC2 Systems Engineering team. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, and monitors work assignments, including implementation of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity , and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and project management skills; good collaboration attributes; ability to effectively interact with internal Boeing leadership, external customers, suppliers, and across technical teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Requirements):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, (preferably Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering). ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Aircraft engineering/project support experience working with internal engineering multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Project management experience with application of program management best practices (PMPB), including earned value management (EVM) and developing integrated master plans and schedules (IMP, IMS) large scale and complex projects.

Assets (Preferred):

  • Able to work independently to support program rapid emerging opportunities and needs.   
  • Hands-on experience with Change Processing & Estimating System (CPES).

Typical Education / Experience:

Level 4:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
