BASIC PURPOSE:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator is a member of the Marketing Technology team and is responsible for the overall performance and health of the data in the Salesforce systems. This position will serve as a conduit between the business unit and the technology team to discover new ways to report on and analyze the CRM and Loyalty data to facilitate better business decisions.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of experience with the Marketing Cloud/Exact Target platform
  • Experience with Journey Builder, including decision splits and engagement splits
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connector and working in an integrated environment
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data extensions
  • A strong sense of creativity around translating business requirements into actionable, Marketing Cloud requirements
  • Strong command of communication skills and ability to operate across various levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, exhibit strong listening and feedback skills
  • Proven ability to thrive/be successful in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Close attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to easily capture business requirements from the internal customer and communicate those needs to project team members including developers, project managers, IT staff and management
  • Ability to clearly communicate and explain complicated processes
  • Ability to quickly identify more efficient workflows and processes
  • Ability to serve as a change agent in the organization

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Facilitate the creation and execution of campaigns and journeys
  • Create and maintain automations that utilize multiple data sources for campaigns
  • Design business solutions on the Marketing Cloud platform based on business needs
  • Facilitate development and maintain Marketing Cloud connection with mobile platform
  • Establish and optimize the connection of the Service Cloud with the Marketing Cloud
  • Integrate marketing campaign data with the customer records
  • Create reports and dashboards in Salesforce or Tableau to identify customer trends and campaign ROI
  • Daily administration, troubleshooting and technical support for the salesforce org
  • Maintenance of users, profiles, roles and permission sets
  • Management of system security settings
  • Customization of standard objects, fields, page layouts and record types
  • Documentation of all system processes and training guides as needed
  • Train new and existing users on system functionality
  • Stay current on all release notes and communicate any new features or changes to the organization

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Marketing or Business required

 

Experience:

  • At minimum, 1 year of successful experience with Marketing Cloud or Exact Target platforms
  •  Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certifications preferred

Skills:

  • Hard Skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
  • Soft Skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time management and organization skills, sense of urgency, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
