Job Details

Under the direction of the Collections Manager, the incumbent will contact and resolve delinquent consumer credit card issues. The Collection Representative 1 will also document actions taken, assist others in the department and perform skip- traces as needed.

1. Determine reason for delinquent consumer credit card account with customer.

2. Resolve delinquent status on consumer credit card accounts by arranging

repayment schedules.

3. Determine action to be taken regarding delinquency of consumer accounts.

4. Generate reminder letters and send to past due customers.

5. Document collection actions taken and send documentation to imaging for retention.

6. Process return mail, NSF reports, and correspondence.

7. Perform skip-tracing as needed.

8. Assist other collection associates as needed.

9. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls;report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

· One (1) to two (2) years credit collection experience or related experience preferred

· One (1) to two (2) years customer contact experience preferred
