Job Description

Two Permanent jobs, one in Kent, WA and one in Oklahoma City, OK or Wichita, KS, requires FAA authorizations for Lightning HIRF Protection & Electrical Equipment / Systems through existing Designated Engineering Representative (DER) or Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Unit Member. Authorizations should include one or more of the following: Detail Design and Installation, Equipment Qualification Tests, Service Documents, Electrical Systems, Avionics Systems and Sub Systems, Electrical Load Analysis, Lightning HIRF Protection, Safety Analysis, Enhanced Airworthiness Program for Airplane Systems (EAPAS) and electrical wiring interconnect system (EWIS). Familiarity with Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) certification methods a plus. Support of multiple commercial derivative aircraft including KC-46A, VC-25, PAR, JSTARS, C-32, C-40A, C-40B, E-4B and others.

 

Other position requirements - Leads work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex multi-tiered projects. Leads analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Leads testing and validation work on complex system designs to assure that operational and functional requirements are met. Works with other to develop program test strategies. Manages performance of critical suppliers to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Conducts program independent reviews and reports results to program leadership. Provides critical support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Leads research into technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments. Recognized as a business unit-wide expert in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration and installation design and resolving supplier technical issues.

 

This position will require one successful candidate to work at the Boeing Site in Kent, WA and the other successful candidate to work at the Oklahoma City OK or Wichita, KS.

Qualifications

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
