Job Description

Boeing is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (level 3) to work in the B-52 Data Analysis lab, maintaining and supporting data analysis software tools. During the first six months this engineer will be training with a subject matter expert, and then assume full responsibility for the maintenance and support of the analysis tool set, to include working with the analysis tool developers at Saint Louis and Edwards Air Force Base.  This position is based at the Boeing site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
  • Experience using Python or other scripting languages for data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analysis tools used for 1553 chapter 10 software testing.
  • Experience converting legacy PROBE data dictionaries to Python scripts for use with Quickview and Qmerge data analysis tools or similar experience.
  • Experience maintaining data analysis tools for systems software analysts.
  • Experience with laboratory security secret level operating protocols.
  • C-Sharp and Fortran language experience or similar.
  • Unix and Linux operating systems experience.

Typical Education & Experience:


Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
