Job Description
The Boeing Company is currently seeking Embedded Software Engineers (Level 2) to join The Phantom Fusion (PF) team in St. Louis, MO.  In this role you will help develop real-time embedded solutions for programs focused on leveraging Boeing capabilities across the enterprise.

The focus areas of this team includes a Safety (DO-178) solution that can be leveraged in commercial applications. The successful candidate will be a part of the team responsible for establishing the related software framework. The PF products include an Open system computing platform and architecture, Hardware components, Software Application and Developers tool kits to support most tactical/strategic platforms.

The successful candidate will be involved with customers and suppliers. They will need to understand and help develop requirements, code and tests to support the end product that leverages the PF Mission Systems solution. This will involve interfacing with the engineering team and other program teams to develop solutions and meet program objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (post start)
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Experience developing software in C++
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
  • Real-Time Embedded software development experience
  • Driver and other low-level (Infrastructure) software development experience
  • Knowledge of the Assembly language 
  • Experience with VxWorks, and partitioned operating systems like VxWorks 653.
  • Knowledge of DO-178C and ARINC 653
  • Agile development, JIRA and Git development tools.
Typical Education/Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
