Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is looking for a Senior Developer to join our Application Development team.  As a member of the Application Development team you will be responsible for accelerating software development and testing utilizing C# and .NET.  We are looking for an individual with experience designing and deploying enterprise applications utilizing .NET and SharePoint.  The ideal individual for this position will be a subject matter expert with a proven track record deploying enterprise grade applications.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop applications utilizing C# and .NET with experience developing SharePoint solutions.
  • Experience with front-end single page applications (SPA) utilizing HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks (Telerik, Kendo or Angular).
  • Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Write unit tests utilizing TDD for back and front-end services.
  • Deliver solutions in an Agile - Scrum project methodology.
  • Drive technical design insuring adherence to defined software development methodologies, including logical

and physical design.

  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and

applications.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
  • 7-10+ years application development utilizing .NET/C#
  • Experience developing solutions for SharePoint

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Skills:

  • Ability to create applications from the ground up as well as modifying existing applications.
  • Able to recommend and enforce industry best practices and patterns.
  • Strong proficiency with data modeling.
  • Experience with Sitecore is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of SOA concepts and design patterns.
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming.
  • Strong understanding of Agile project methodologies.
  • Able to mentor and work with junior-level developers.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Team oriented.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

About The Job:

Shift leaders are our first line of supervisors and we grow our employees from within. This position is designed to be an entry level management position. Retail shift leaders provide customers with friendly customer service. Other responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment for the store, completing required paperwork accurately and timely, following company guidelines, operating all assigned equipment safely and efficiently, completing all store task and activities assigned by management, being timely and punctual with attendance, and maintaining personal grooming and appearance at all times.

  • Previous experience as a retail shift leader or supervisor
  • Ability to run a cash register in a retail environment
  • Ability to run accurate gas and diesel transactions
  • Ability to use calculator, computer, telephone, and other equipment as needed
  • Must be able to properly lift, pull, and push up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand up for at least an 8 hour shift
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays

You will run the store, restaurant and tire care concepts in a Love′s Travel Stop location. You′ll be working in a fast-paced environment. One moment you′ll be in the store, the next minute you may be helping out in the tire care, and then jumping on the line to help out in the restaurant. It will be your job to make sure we promote sales growth through merchandise execution, ensuring your teams are well trained and delivering world-class service in the location to deliver on "Clean Places, Friendly Faces."

You will help run the store by operating the cash register system and assisting customers getting them back on the road quickly. You′ll get questions too. Sometimes it′s asking for directions. BASIC PURPOSE:

Gemini Motor Transport operates trucks across the United States, servicing Love's Travel Stops wholesale and retail customers. Our Fuel Transport positions are among the best in the industry. Gemini strives to achieve only the highest safety ratings in our business, for our professional drivers and loyal customers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives company trucks to destinations and operates equipment to transport fuel.
  • Have knowledge and comply with, all applicable federal, state, local and company rules and regulations that are in accordance with the accepted principals of the safe operation of a hazardous cargo tank motor vehicle.
  • Have knowledge and comply with, the proper methods of loading and unloading for the various cargos to be transported.
  • Report to logistics at the specified time and maintain contact with logistics as required.
  • Complete driver daily logs and all necessary delivery tickets, trip reports, fuel reports, damage reports, and other paperwork required by company, to be turned in as instructed.
  • Report to logistics at time specified and maintain contact with dispatch offices.
  • Comply with loading/unloading procedures for the appropriate cargos being transported.
  • Follow company guidelines in regards to acceptable conduct when dealing with customers, fellow employees, and the motoring public.
  • Represent the Company to our customers, the public and the trucking industry in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Each driver must have a Commercial Driver's License and other appropriate endorsements and state requirements to be carried in truck cab while driver is in service.
  • Each driver must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate, under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

  • The ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, as well as grasp, lift, and handle heavy equipment as necessary, to ensure safety during the hooking and dropping processes of tractor/trailer combinations. as well as climb upon the trailer when necessary (for instance, to ensure closure of dome lids following loading or unloading), also when dealing with sections of hose that may exceed 20'in length, measure as many as 4"in diameter, and weigh as much as 75 lbs. This is to ensure safe and proper practice when coupling, and when disconnecting hose.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing, vision and smell.

BASIC PURPOSE:

This position requires CDL drivers to transport oil on and off road (in mud, snow, ice and during all weather and lighting conditions) from pickup locations to drop off locations safely without spills or other incidents.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for building and maintaining reports and other documentation for the safe transfer of petroleum products between a variety of containers.
  • Responsible for communicating with dispatch, customers, vendors and other employees as needed.
  • Required to follow all applicable federal, state and local company regulatory rules and regulations that are in accordance with documentation of product transfer and commercial transportation.
  • Responsible for performing regulated safety inspections including but not limited to: pre and post trip vehicle inspections, lease safety inspections, and delivery location inspections.
  • Responsible for submitting or maintaining regular inspections and reports; DVIR reports.
  • Will be responsible for testing and measuring petroleum product samples including but not limited to: BS&W measurement, API measurement, tank strapping, tank bottom measurement, etc.
  • Could be involved with documentation with all incident investigations and submit reports as required.
  • Comply with the utmost safety and security standards and expectations for all operations and locations.
  • Responsible for equipment cleanliness, testing equipment care, and minor maintenance on all operated equipment.

Requirements

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Each driver must have a Commercial Driver’s License and other appropriate endorsements(HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples) and state requirements to be carried in truck cab while driver is in service.
  • Each driver must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
