OSU – Oklahoma City, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, is looking for a Support Technician (Information Services)
As top tier help desk support, this position will be responsible for the installation of hardware and software on faculty, staff and instructor station machines; will restore and back-up system files, provide technical support and training to campus users, install audiovisual equipment, and will assist Information Services Analysts with lab deployments, network printer deployments, and network runs.
Salary: $12.01 per hour
Associate's Degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline. Work experience may be substituted for degree requirements
One to two years of experience in the installation and maintenance of software and hardware
One to two years of experience in providing support to users for office automation applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, web browsers, and other productivity software
Working knowledge and ability to install hardware and software
Ability and skill to collaborate with other IS personnel to resolve system and network issues
Strong communication skills
Works overhead on ladders, under desks and in enclosed spaces. Some work will be performed in dusty construction environments. PPE will be provided by employer.
Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs. (if an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two person lift.
Requires proper handling of computer and network components.
Use of both hands in repetitive actions, simple grasping, fine manipulation, bending or stooping.
