Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking experienced (Level 4) Systems Engineers to help support the C-32 / C-40 Systems Engineering organization, which provides engineering support services for 757 / 737NG Commercial Derivative Aircraft. The C-32 / C-40 Program is a part of the larger Executive Transport Services & Support (ETS&S) Program which provides sustainment and modification support for the Air Force executive fleet. This Position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

As a C-32 / C-40 Systems Engineer, you will support systems engineering activity on the C-32 / C-40 platforms by analyzing and/or evaluating customer/operational needs to sustain and/or modify these critical national assets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of the shaping future business through aircraft modifications.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of Engineering Support Tasks, Liaison Support Requests, Engineering Projects, and/or Engineering Assignments.
  • Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties into a preferred configuration to ensure C-32 / C-40 mission success.
  • Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplined engineering group to ensure customer contractual requirements are met.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

 

  • This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  •  Experience working on Military or Military/Commercial Derivative Aircraft.

Typical Education / Experience
Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
