OSU - Oklahoma City, located in the heart of Oklahoma City, is looking for a Teacher - Child Development Center Lab School.
Plans, supervises and implements a program of learning activities and care for young children in accordance with the goals and philosophy of the OSU-OKC Child Development Lab School.
Rate of Pay: $10.02 to $10.37 per hour
Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood or a related field. ELCCT certificate will be required with 90 days of employment.
Current Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or current Childcare Professional Certificate
Must have previous experience working with young children in a formal or non-formal setting for a minimum of two years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to provide positive interaction and nurturing of young children
Ability to understand and comply with developmentally appropriate practices, Oklahoma DHS licensing requirements and other health & safety criteria as related to this area.
Background check must meet acceptable standards for child care workers
Must be open to training and guidance
Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior
In a typical work day the teacher must stand, walk, sit, and bend for approximately 7-8 hours. The job requires frequent stooping, squatting, crouching, and lifting of children. Teachers will be expected to be outside, in all types of weather conditions, supervising and interacting with children.
Able to lift 20 pounds, move comfortably in the classroom, and work around young children with reasonable accommodation
