Position Description:

The individual in this role will support the MidFirst Bank Operations and Technology division by analyzing, designing, and producing various forms of professional documentation for audiences at all levels of the organization. Working with various business units, the Technical Writer will ensure effective operational governance and control documentation is in place, which may require him/her to function as a project manager on key initiatives. This individual is also responsible for storage, cataloging, and retrieval of documents, while maintaining the integrity of working documents and/or updated documentation.


Collaborate with various business units and various levels of management to develop, write, publish, and maintain policies, programs, procedures, and forms.
Review and manage published policies & procedures and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content. Perform copyedit functions.

Analyze developments in specific field to determine need for revisions in previously published materials and development of new materials.

Analyze operational risk assessment data and write executive summaries.
Develop various forms of correspondence and informational materials, including but not limited to, executive memos and reports, process diagrams, basic graphs/charts, etc.
Facilitate audit and exam processes by gathering and preparing requested information, facilitating responses to questions during audits/exams, and tracking recommendations and findings until closure.
Write Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for new systems, technologies, or services.
Serve as the recording secretary for executive committee meetings and prepare formal documented meeting minutes.

Prepare employee communications, instructions, and training materials related to governance topics.

Maintain records and files of work and revisions.

Manage typing, duplication, and distribution of materials.

Administer PolicyTech software site, including software updates, access controls, confidentiality, and integrity.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Professional verbal and written communication skills required
Strong organization skills, meticulous, and detailed-oriented
Advanced prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines having conflicting priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to challenge the business to help identify risks, deficiencies and control gaps
Relationship management, negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to manage change and cope with complex and ambiguous situation
Takes ownership and eager to learn

1-3 years related work experience in operational governance such as internal/external audit, compliance, risk management or quality control
Bachelors degree required; Communication, English, or related field preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
Basic information design skills a plus
Financial Services industry experience a plus
