DESCRIPTION OF POSITION FUNCTION:

 

This position supports the activities related to the planning, design, installation, implementation, administration, support, security, documentation and maintenance of bank-wide telecommunication systems, including the network infrastructure supporting it.

 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of PRI and POTS circuits as they interact with the telecommunication system

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of endpoint phone devices as they interact with the telecommunication system

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of the main VOIP telecommunications system

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of the voicemail system

  • Implementation, reporting, testing and configuration of the Disaster Recovery Plan for all telecommunication systems

  • Implementation, reporting, and configuration of the Call Accounting system

  • Implementation, reporting, and configuration of the Call Center system

  • Implementation, reporting, and configuration of the Call Recording system

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of the E911 system

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of the network infrastructure involved with the organization’s VOIP telecommunications infrastructure

  • Analysis, recommendations, and implementation of server and network related hardware and software as they relate to the telecommunication systems

  • Implementation, reporting and configuration of all telecom wiring (including punch-downs to the block, building Ethernet cables if needed, coordination installations with 3rd party vendors and providers, etc.)

  • Planning and implementation of complex and routine short and long range projects related to network systems, software, hardware, upgrades and infrastructure

  • Assists in the development, recommendation, and upon managerial approval, implementation of departmental standards and procedures as they relate to the telecommunication systems

  • Development and maintenance of technical documentation for the department as they relate to the telecommunication systems

  • Tracking and maintaining of inventories for software, hardware, and other equipment as they relate to the telecommunication systems

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Must have experience working in a complex, multi-platform, multi-vendor, multi-protocol, multi-LAN computer environment

  • Experience with Cisco CallManager and Unity Voicemail Systems

  • Experience with working in a Microsoft Active Directory environment

  • Experience with an Exchange 2010/2013 environment

  • Experience with Windows 2008 & 2012 Server

  • Experience with Windows 7/8/10 desktop operating systems

  • Experience with security in a Microsoft environment

  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, VLANS and other LAN/WAN technologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Displays a high degree of organizational skills

  • Demonstrates a superior customer service attitude

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must work well in a team environment

  • Occasional travel required and occasional evenings and weekends
