THPO OFFICER

OKEMAH, OK

 

Under the supervision of the  Business Committee, the THPO Director is responsible to promote, protect, preserve and manage all matters relating to cultural resources. The THPO Director shall be the primary and official point of contact in all matters relating to historic, archaeological resources and traditional cultural properties. Working hours are Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise required.

 

Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related field. Minimum of three years’ experience in cultural preservation or NAGPRA.

Experience working with Native Americans. Knowledge of Thlopthlocco Tribe history, culture, traditions, or willingness to learn. 

Able to travel. Must have ability to use good judgment and work with minimal supervision. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Shall submit to and pass all necessary background and drug testing. Salary Negotiable.
