03/14/2017 Volunteer and Community Relations Coordinator Under the supervision of the Director of Administrative Services, works cooperatively to develop and maintain a quality volunteer program. Works collaboratively with educational institutions and other community partners on volunteer and community relations materials and activities and demonstrates support and initiative for developing new opportunities to better serve children, youth, and families. Provides direction to maintain visibility of organization programs and services and subscribes to and practices professional ethics as outlined in organization policies and procedures.
Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in education, health and recreation, human relations, social work, or related field. Emphasis in program planning for youth including course work in psychology, sociology, child development or recreation as well as two (2) years of direct experience with youth programs. Direct experience in training and supervising volunteers or employees is preferred. Ability to participate effectively in public relations activities and to manage budget with agency assistance. Hours must be flexible. Must have a driver's license, ready access to an automobile, and be able to travel to several work locations.
