Description

Benefits EDI Coordinators own and manage the Benefits-to-Carrier implementation process for 15-20 clients simultaneously. They lead the set-up from the initial import of membership to the handoff for long-term maintenance. They drive the process as the project manager to guarantee quality assurance, client understanding and confidence, and accurate implementation. The best EDI are multi-functional. They have the ability to work effectively within all functions, including strategic account and process management, innovative problem-solving and effective communication.

 

Key Performance Objectives

  1. Successfully complete the 3-week EDI training program and be prepared to manage 1-2 client implementation projects immediately following the training. Learn Paycom technology quickly and apply the technical knowledge of file construction. Actively seek guidance on how to improve and apply new knowledge regularly.
  2. Ensure customer understanding of the benefit process by leading the communication through calls, web meetings, and project plans. Set the pace and gain customer support to meet all key target dates through training and leading the client. Set proper expectations and communicate effectively with all internal and external parties. Hold all parties accountable to project plan deadlines.
  3. Produce fully implemented and well-designed EDI file feeds within 6-8 weeks of initial assignment. Motivate and guide all parties through cross-function collaboration to achieve and exceed goals. Organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely execution of action items necessary to guarantee progression of projects.
  4. Provide problem resolution within 10 minutes through knowledge, research, and effective communication. Utilize resources and critical thinking to research potential resolutions and present solutions to all involved parties. Reach out to others for best solutions. Commit to 10-minute turnaround to encourage client satisfaction and retention.
  5. Anticipate inquiries and utilize all resources to overcome challenges impeding expected results. Manage projects proactively by anticipating potential barriers and communicating viable solutions in a positive and professional fashion. Follow best practice methods and utilize all available resources to take initiative and drive results as the project manager of the implementation.
  6. Manage time, priorities, schedule, and resources efficiently. Prepare and execute an agenda to meet every client action item. Plan time according to daily task needs and project demands. Self-motivate to constantly improve time and account management skills.
  7. Develop a relationship of trust and respect with internal and external parties. Conduct conversations with an adaptable and positive demeanor, following each correspondence with a progress recap and call to action. Follow up according to established deadlines to hold all parties accountable. Ensure that internal parties are fully informed of the status and challenges toward full implementation through the utilization of meetings, emails, and phone.
  8. Document each client implementation engagement through use of tracking tools. Maintain accurate and insightful notes. Reflect on dates, milestones, resolved issues, and next steps for each file implementation. Update notes daily as items are completed per file within the benchmark tracking tool and Project Plans. Collaborate with team and leaders to strategize new and innovative ways to achieve desired outcomes.
