Responsible for accurate, well-documented and acceptable set of records and reports on grants and contracts. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of expenditures and financial reports on grant and contract transactions. Assists Principal Investigators/Program Chairs in preparing budgets and other components for grant and contract applications. Participate in the review and submission of grant and contract applications to multiple funding agencies. Audits contracts and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions. Conducts evaluations of expenditures on individual grants and contracts. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of directly-related or closely relevant experience, OR a combination of education and experience.

Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel). Some knowledge of accounting principles and practices required. Must give meticulous attention to detail, thoroughly complete work tasks and meet constant deadlines. A strong team player is absolutely necessary. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations, adapt to frequent changes, multi-task, and work independently. Must be able to interact professionally with diverse personalities and cultures.


Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer experience in a scientific research, health, and/or university environment. Knowledge of and experience with federal and non-federal grants administration


Work Hours:

Typically Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 5:00 pm.
