Provide operational support to the Technology Ventures department including but not limited to; management of the ‘iEdison’ portal for NIH patent reporting requirements; managing entry into the ‘Inteum’ database of agreements, patent expenses and company data; develop and monitor departmental budgets through ‘OneSolution’ software; creation of financial reports; tracking and monitoring agreements for milestones and annual maintenance fees; creation and follow-up of patent reimbursement invoices; liaising between Technology Ventures and Accounting regarding grants, royalty dispersements and licensing revenues and; reconciling the yearly Patent Expense database with Accounting’s OneSolution database.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and 3 year's relevant experience or combination of education and experience. 

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Successful applicants must show strong initiative, be able to prioritize, display high attention to detail, and be extremely flexible/adaptable. Must be professional, organized, deadline driven, efficient and able to produce high quality work while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have excellent oral and written communication and computer skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse group of people, personalities and cultures is crucial.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer an Associate's Degree. Previous experience in a Technology Transfer/Intellectual Property office, non-profit biomedical research and/or university setting preferred


Work Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, 10am-3:00pm, however hours may vary depending on workload and need for office coverage. 


Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit, use manual dexterity, talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually quiet.
