SUMMARY

 

The Treasury Management Sales Officer is the primary contact for the sales and service of treasury management solutions and other related depository services. This position works closely with our Personal Bankers and Lenders to help identify prospects for treasury services. As the primary specialist for complex commercial account relationships, the Treasury Sales Officer is responsible to ensure that optimal levels of service are made available.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Follow all policies and procedures.

 

Develop new business with a designated portfolio of business prospects and clients.

 

Responsible for the timely and accurate documentation for implementation and maintenance of treasury services.

 

Work with commercial managers to assure they have maximized depository/treasury management opportunities with their clients and prospects. This involves joint calls as well as the preparation of sales proposals.

 

Assist in preparation for proposals and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).

 

Independently identify opportunities to expand business and support the sales effort.

 

Display knowledge, proficiency and professionalism in explaining, selling and administering products/services.

 

Research and resolve client requests, operational issues and discrepancies experienced by clients.

 

Appropriately initiate actions necessary to meet client needs without explicit management direction or guidance. Use good judgment in determining when management involvement is required.

 

Provides accurate complete information necessary to establish products/services on back-end systems, follows up with the client to ensure proper installation of the products/services, resolving issues identified by the client.

Provide feedback to Sales, Product and Operations regarding the success/deficiencies of existing products, and the need for new product development.

Follow account-opening procedures, understand banking regulations, understand legal documents required to open accounts and other processes, as required for this position.

Actively work with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.

Responsible for the sale and servicing of Treasury Management Products for the market.

 

Gain adequate product knowledge for all treasury management, merchant services, and credit card products.

 

Cultivate and service the treasury management portfolio for the market.

 

Work with new prospects and current business customers.

 

Promote and foster productive calling efforts to cross-sell to existing and prospective clientele.

 

Assist with other job related duties and special requests as requested

REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum 2 years banking experience, with preferred experience in Commercial Banking/Customers or Treasury Management.

 

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn banking software applications.

 

Ability to acquire an understanding of Treasury products and services.

 

A high degree of customer service skills.

 

Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude.

 

Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor.

 

Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

 

Possess critical thinking skills.

 

Excellent work ethic.

 

Daily attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job.

 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

Commercial Banking/Customers or Treasury Management experience.

 

Extensive knowledge of BancFirst Treasury products.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant use of computer screens

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear

Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching

Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday

Long periods of typing and repetitive motion

Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10 pounds
