Trust Compliance Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Maintain and monitor the “trust compliance program” for compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for the trust and investment management accounts


Work with Trust business-line units to interpret and execute various regulatory and compliance issues/projects, including:

  • Trust compliance program
  • Internal Control Program
  • Internal policies and procedures for trust and investment management accounts


Monitor account administration, investment, and operational compliance:

  • Personal trust and retirement services
    • Maintain and monitor “Trust Watch List” reports
  • Corporate trust
    • Maintain and monitor “Corporate Trust Watch list Report” and “Corporate Tracked Items Report”
  • Investment management
  • Trust Operations


Monitor daily overdraft and large balance reports


Assist the Trust Compliance Officer in the coordination, monitoring, and follow-up reporting on:

  • Federal and state regulatory examinations
  • Internal and external audits


Monitory trust collateral requirements and reporting for Oklahoma State Banking Department


Monitor USA Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act compliance for trust and investment management accounts


Manage and monitor compliance with:

  • Document retention program
  • Disaster recovery plans
  • Annual vendor reviews


Assist as liaison for trust accounting system (FIS TrustDesk) and system integration with other system related service vendors

  • Serve as primary liaison for tax reporting service vendor (OneSource)
  • Develop thorough understanding and knowledge on all trust functions


Monitor Trust staff compliance for mandatory BancFirst in-house training requirements


Assists with other job related duties and special projects as requested

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, law, or more than seven years of relevant experience


Three or more years’ experience in trust administration, investments, trust audit, and/or operations, or related experience (i.e. Law or compliance)


Knowledge of trust administration and tax laws, rules, and regulations


Knowledge of trust and investment management activities, products, and services


Proficient in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications


Able to perform in a highly sensitive environment, deal with confidential matters and meet deadlines


Work well individually and with a team while maintaining a positive attitude


Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal


Work well under stress and deadlines while managing multiple tasks


Critical thinking skills










Constant use of computer screens


Ability to operate a computer keyboard, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear


Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching


Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday

Long periods of typing and repetitive motion

Ability to lift and/or move and carry up to 5 pounds
