Wind Turbine Technician - Field Service

We are hiring traveling Wind Turbine Technicians in multiple cities in the US and Canada.


  • Inspect, repair, remove, and/or install gearboxes and components on wind turbines at customer sites. (e.g. main shafts, pitch tubes, gears, bearings, gearing accessories, brake assemblies, shrink disks, lubrication and filter systems, module sections)
  • Safely operate and maintain all personal protective equipment, material handling equipment, vehicles, rigging, and tools
  • Maintain records and communication with sales and support teams
  • Travel up to 90% of the time to customer locations throughout the US, with occasional travel to Canada
  • Climb and descend ladders up to 360 feet, work at heights, and observe all safety procedures and practices
  • Participate in safety and process-improvement initiatives

  • 3 years of similar experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • competency with diagnosing and repairing wind turbines and wind turbine components
  • able to comprehend and create technical documentation, communicate effectively in a variety of situations, receive feedback and follow instructions in a team environment, and to work collaboratively with others to solve unique challenges in a stressful setting
  • travel up to 90% of the time, possess a valid driver’s license, and the ability to successfully pass a safety-related physical evaluation
  • Work in an outdoor setting with exposure to weather and environmental factors
  • Have positive prior employment references and a steady work history
